Client Testimonials
“Michelle did an amazing job as a proofreader of my novella! Her edits all made sense and her comments were very helpful. I would absolutely recommend her services.”
— Rochelle Wolf, Author of “Doing It For the Plot” in Bi the Way, I Love You: A Charity Anthology
“Michelle was everything I didn’t realize I needed until I found her [and] I was absolutely blown away by her literary knowledge and insight. From start to finish, I found Michelle to be thoughtful, conscientious, and meticulous. She struck the perfect balance between respecting my stylistic preferences and offering guidance on how to better polish my manuscript for both readability and adherence to CMOS standards. I don’t think I could have found a more perfect person to help me polish my debut novel. Without Michelle, I would not have even half of the confidence I do. Highly recommended!”
— Jillian Maclean, Author of the Chicago Challengers series
"Michelle completed a thorough review of my book. She gave her impressions at the end of each chapter and then provided overall feedback on the book and where she thought it could be improved. Her feedback was helpful and encouraging, and I felt like she really understood what I was trying to do with my story. I would work with her again in a heartbeat."

Additional Endorsements & Experience
In November 2025 I joined a program called Blue Pencil, which offers complimentary writing consults to new authors.
Editors volunteer monthly to provide in-line comments on a 2500-word sample from a fiction or creative nonfiction manuscript, write an editorial letter addressing the writer’s primary concerns, and discuss the feedback with the author via a virtual call.
The program is a partnership between Editors Canada Hamilton-Halton and gritLIT Literary Festival.
Recent feedback regarding the program have been incredibly positive, with general comments including:
“. . . as much as it is important to share your work with a writing group, there are some things only a professional can notice. It is also important to work with an editor who cares about your writing and the piece and I was lucky enough to have that feeling during my one-on-one session.”
“The editor motivated me to trust myself regarding editing and revising my novel. I also really appreciated the supportive and kind encouragement that I received from my editor.”
“I have friends who are writers and among them are people with whom I share my work and who share their work with me. Critiquing can sometime be tricky, given our relationships, so it’s helpful to be able to engage with a professional editor, someone who can be more objective about the writing, whose education and business it is to articulate where problems might be and how to fix them.”
I also lend my editing skills to the adorable kitties of the Etobicoke Humane Society, where I’ve volunteered as a Team Lead and Profile Editor since 2022.
